In our opinion there’s nothing like riding your own bike on new, unexplored roads. And you're sure of your set up, saddle and pedals, road feel, etc. Plus for a little effort, it works out cheaper.
Please make sure that you have checked with your airline at least a week in advance to make sure that they have not changed any of their oversized baggage allowances.
Please see the how to video below:

It's probably easier if we detail bikes that don’t fit:
• Balloon tyre bikes, tandems and touring bikes
• Downhill bikes
• Electric mountain / road bikes are not allowed on aeroplanes
• Some triathlon and aero bikes (where handlebars can’t be removed)
• 63cm or bigger bikes with integrated seat posts (bikes that don’t have a removable seat pin)
A couple of other things to note:
• 61cm frame - you may need to take rear mech off
• Take your seat clamp off and measure from top of seat post to bottom of the largest chain ring. If it is 87cm or more, you may have to take the large chain ring/rear mech off.
Your local bike shop will be able to help you.
Remember, the left pedal spindle is reverse threaded. Turn it clockwise to remove the pedal when facing the crank arm. The right side is normal, so turn it anti-clockwise to loosen it.
If they won't budge, it's worth spraying the thread with a good lubricant and leaving it for a short time then giving it a try again.
Unfortunately we cannot offer any insurance. The customer is solely responsible for the bike box once it is in their possession. If lost or stolen the customer will be required to pay the RRP of the bike box (minus the £100 deposit).
If the box gets damaged whilst on rental, the renter will be liable to pay all costs incurred for the repair.
Simply drop the box back to us in Dorking at an agreed time or we’ll come and collect it (if you're located in a 10 mile radius) for a £10 fee.
Email, call or text us once you've returned from your trip and we’ll get back to you.
